It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The noise levels were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to let you know that it was beginning and working towards its goal.
Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the requirement to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base has a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
